Our Mission
Shade Sense Studio exists to make skincare more inclusive and and impactful. A portion of every purchase supports poverty relief efforts, and we donate our soaps and scrubs to shelters in need. Our mission is simple: to help people feel good in their skin, while doing good for others.

Through the Young Americans Center, Shade Sense Studio is able to share their business with hundreds of young entrepreneurs aged 6-12 in the Denver Metro Area! Preesha has spoken and hosted workshops at elementary schools, middle schools, and summer camps.

Shade Sense Studio
is a Colorado-based business dedicated to providing affordable, aesthetic, and functional cosmetics. On August 13th, 2022, Preesha was in her basement with friends, attempting to make slime. “We were trying to get the measurements perfect,” says Preesha, “and then I dumped a bunch of baking soda into the mix instead of borax. Oops.” When they mixed their newfound concoction, they found it to be a creamy soap. They were just “messing around with it” until Preesha suddenly realized, “We could sell this!” Now, three years, two products, and countless formulas later, Shade Sense Studio is here to stay.
Our CEO, Preesha Halder
leads all things production, marketing, communication, and photography at Shade Sense Studio. She oversees the brand’s day-to-day operations, develops new products and partnerships, and leads Studio Shadows, the company’s youth entrepreneurship program. She is passionate about turning creative ideas into tangible businesses and creating opportunities for the next generation of young entrepreneurs.
